Tutorial in knowing was a project exploring how logic is formulated in the face of the unfamiliar, specifically within the realm of craft. Each object in the project was created by a volunteer with limited sewing experience presented with muslin pattern pieces and given a time frame in which to create something using every piece. Their guidance was limited to a brief tutorial on how to operate a domestic sewing machine, and assistance with troubleshooting the machine where need be, so as to limit any interference in their creative process.
